It was founded in 2001 by Dave Castelnuovo and Allan Dye as a flash development studio, but in October 2008 they decided to start making applications and games for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch. Currently, Bolt Creative is working on an iPad exclusive game called Journey To Uranus and Pocket God Comics which are by Ape Entertainment.
Bolt Creative is the company that created Pocket God, the subject of this wiki. It was programmed by Dave Castelnuovo and designed by Allan Dye. It is a god game in which an omnipotent being (you) controls small people called Pygmies. As a god, you can do nice things to the Pygmies, like feed them, or do cruel things to them, such as feed them to a shark, zap them with lightning, or have them devoured by vicious army ants.
As well as Pocket God, Bolt Creative has made other apps for the iPhone. Here is a list:
- FWARP - Programmed by Dave Castelnuovo and designed by Allan Dye
- Slinky Inc. - Programmed by Dave Castelnuovo and designed by Stas Udotov
- The Jackie Button - Programmed by Dave Castelnuovo and designed by Stas Udotov
- I'm a PC - Programmed by Dave Castelnuovo
Dave Castelnuovo and Allan Dye
Dave Castelnuovo and Allan Dye are two key people of Bolt Creative, Castelnuovo doing the programming of Pocket God and Bolt Creative's other apps and Dye doing the designing, illustrating, and animating of Pocket God. Both of them work hard to create updates for Pocket God. They have a blog where they talk about the goings-on about Pocket God called the Pocket Blog.
